This unique 16+ Organic Certified Manuka honey has the most powerful activity of our product range. You will notice that Wedderspoon’s Manuka honey does not exceed 16+ in activity.

Since higher than 16+ activities are not naturally found, some other companies artificially achieve their higher Manuka activity levels and knowingly represent them in a misleading fashion. The abnormally high activity level is commonly obtained through intentionally manipulating the honey, such as exposing it to harmful high heat and cold temperatures, which KILLS the beneficial bee enzymes in the process as well as denaturing the vitamins, minerals and nutrients. As a result, their Manuka honey cannot be 100% unpasteurized (raw), since it becomes either somewhat or fully pasteurized. A dangerous side effect of this common practice is that the deceptive man-made alteration of the Manuka honey activity can render it to have adverse results, rather than preserving the integrity of its true purpose in serving as a holistic, natural, pure, organic, unpasteurized and fully bio-available health and wellness supplement.

Directions for Internal Usage: Taken by the heaping teaspoonful up to 3 times a day until symptoms improve, depending on your condition, Manuka honey in general is what may be used in the treatment of gastro-intestinal disorders such as acid reflux, Crohn’s, Helicobacter pylori, upset stomach, stomach ulcers, peptic ulcer, diverticulitis, ulcerative colitis, irritable bowel syndrome and even heartburn. For colds and sore throats, you may use Manuka honey up to 3 times a day by the heaping teaspoon and either simply swallow or mix into warm water with lemon juice and/or ginger.

Directions for External Usage: For cold sores, eczema, psoriasis, sunburn or acne, apply on the affected areas at least once or twice daily. Can be used on dogs, cats and horses as well. Consult with your holistic or supportive allopathic veterinarian for the appropriate dosage.

Please note: If an animal that may be known to have carried Rabies has bitten you, you must seek immediate medical attention for the necessary antidote. If your wound or cut is from any nails or rusted metal, you must immediately seek medical attention to avoid possible tetanus and you may require a tetanus shot.
